As a Senior Backend Engineer at Ematiq, you will design, implement, and maintain distributed systems for real-time algorithmic trading across diverse business domains. You’ll be at the heart of creating systems that require high reliability and low latency.
We’re looking for passionate developers who are excited about working with JVM-based distributed systems, primarily in Scala. Experience with Scala is not a prerequisite; we’ll teach you all you need to know.
Experience with AWS infrastructure is a plus but not required. Your primary focus will be on developing applications.
What will be your daily responsibilities?
- Design, implement, and support distributed systems for low-latency algorithmic trading.
- Debug and optimize stream-based/event-based systems to ensure high reliability and real-time performance.
- Enhance system response times and reliability.
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to define acceptance criteria.
- Continuously improve code quality through unit and integration testing, leading by example.
