- 2+ years of experience as a data scientist or machine learning engineer, with a proven track record of delivering impactful models in production environments
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role, including mentoring and guiding other data scientists
- Strong individual contributor background-able to engage as a peer in deep technical and modeling discussions
- Experience with Python (preferred), R, or similar languages for data science, and familiarity with SQL and modern data infrastructure
We are looking for a hands-on Data Science Lead to drive the development of innovative, profitable trading strategies and advanced analytics solutions. In this role, you will combine technical leadership with individual contribution, ensuring our data science initiatives deliver measurable business value and maintain a competitive edge in the trading and sports betting domains.
The Data Science Lead is expected to be an active technical contributor, able to participate in deep modeling and analytics discussions while also mentoring and guiding a team of talented data scientists and machine learning engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of data science projects, from problem definition and data exploration to model development, validation, and deployment. Your success will be measured by the team’s ability to deliver robust, scalable models and strategies that outperform the market and drive profitability.
If you do not already have a background in trading or sports betting, you should be highly motivated to quickly develop deep knowledge in these areas. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of domain knowledge, hands-on modeling, and technical leadership, and who is eager to make a tangible impact on our bottom line.
What will be your daily responsibilities?
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, fostering technical growth and high performance
- Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of data science projects, from problem definition and data exploration to model development, validation, and productionization
- Ensure the team’s direction and priorities are clearly communicated and understood across the organization, serving as the main point of contact for data science topics
- Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of deployed models and strategies, iterating to ensure sustained market edge and profitability
